Registering an expression of interest for the event is possible via this form.

On behalf of BioAgora, the University of Bucharest, the Research Centre in Systems Ecology and Sustainability (RCES), the Leibniz-Institute of Freshwater Ecology and Inland Fisheries (IGB) and the Norwegian Institute for Nature Research (NINA) are pleased to invite expressions of interest for participation in a two-day Science-Policy Interface Dialogue workshop, to be held at the Botanical Garden in Bucharest, Romania. Taking place on 2 and 3 June 2026, the event will bring together representatives from EU institutions, national authorities and research organisations as well as practitioners, with a particular focus on Southeast European Member States. The workshop is the second in this format and will facilitate a joint reflection on the implementation of the Nature Restoration Regulation (NRR).

Its main objective is to identify NRR-related:

  • implementation gaps
  • administrative burdens
  • practical needs
  • opportunities for exchange, coordination and mutual learning

We especially welcome registrations from persons who are directly involved in or responsible for the implementation, coordination or support of the Regulation in their respective countries. The full agenda is available here.

Limited financial support for travel and accommodation is available for up to 10 participants through RCSES, IGB and NINA. Priority in this regard will be given to participants for whom attendance would otherwise be impossible and whose role is particularly relevant to the workshop's topic. Overall, the event has a maximum capacity of 40 participants. In light of this, each application will be carefully reviewed in order to ensure a balanced and relevant representation of institutions, countries and roles related to the implementation of the Regulation.

This form should be completed by all who would like to express their interest in attending. Submission of the form does not automatically guarantee participation or financial support. Selected participants will be contacted with further details and next steps.
